Sharepoint 2010 search results link no responding

Sharepoint 2010 search results link no responding

I have 2010 installed and have configured search and content types. I am
getting results which look like however the link does not respond. It
appears as it should, is blue, its a link but clicking it does nothing.
Here is an example of a result:

The word Letter is a link to the file as it should be but as I say
clicking it does nothing. If I copy and paste the link into a browser it
finds the location/document no problem. If I go onto the server hosting
SharePoint and carry out the same search the link works as expected. Is it
a local problem may be? Locally I am on a different domain but as I said
the link from my local domain pasted into a browser does work. Very stuck,
help? Thank you in advance....
